The EPC issue in the Skoda Kushaq seems to have no end. The customers are having to take their vehicles to the service centres repeatedly. This is the latest incident in the EPC saga.
Zac Hollis, Director, Sales and Marketing at Skoda Auto India, has responded to yet another Skoda Kushaq owner who was suffering from the EPC error. It has almost become inevitable that a Kushaq owner is likely to face the EPC error within the first few months of purchasing the brand new mid-size SUV. Skoda has been selling the SUV in high volumes despite this issue which is a testament to the fact that people like the product. However, a permanent solution for the EPC error has to be found.

Zac Hollis Responds To Kushaq EPC Error
A certain Saharsh Thorwat shared his experience on Facebook. He says that he had initially planned to pick up a used Mahindra Thar some 6 months ago. However, someone pointed out that an old Thar might be problematic and most of the time will be spent on going to the workshop for maintenance. That is when he decided to go for the Kushaq. But in 6 months since the purchase, he has been to the service station 3 times already, which is quite bizarre. This time around, it is due to the EPC error that the vehicle keeps showing. He confirms that the new fuel pump had already been installed in the new SUV but still this issue cropped up.
Zac Hollis is known for being quite active on social media and getting involved in car owners’ issues. He replied to this post by saying that EPC is a general warning and could arise from a number of factors including software issues or rat bite. Zac assures the Kushaq owner that the dealer should be able to quickly diagnose the issue and says that he will ask his team to get in touch with the owner to ensure a quick solution. He also mentions that there have been no failures of the new fuel pumps.

Now, irrespective of how supportive and helpful Zac Hollis is, it is not acceptable that a brand new car should throw up such issues, to begin with. Skoda Auto India needs to find a permanent solution to this issue once and for all otherwise it stands to lose a ton of customers to the already popular SUVs in the segment.
