It is becoming more and more common for YouTubers to get involved in useless stunts to entertain their subscribers.
We keep witnessing incredibly stupid acts on roads as another YouTuber crashes his Suzuki Hayabusa by performing stunts. Indian roads are full of idiotic people. As a result, the number of unfortunate incidents keeps on rising every single day. This is particularly true in the case of daily vloggers. They exceed all limits in a bid to entertain their followers. Their aim is to create viral content even if it is at the risk of their own safety, or the safety of everyone around. This is a prime example of that mentality. Here are the details.

YouTuber Crashes Suzuki Hayabusa
This video comes from Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel keeps featuring content around the performances of popular vehicles during unfortunate incidents, as well as road safety. This time around, one such case has emerged from the Chennai-Bangalore Highway. As per the information in the video, a famous YouTuber (TwinThrottlers_TFF) was on this highway with his superbike. Suddenly, he is seen doing a wheelie with the front wheel in the air. The entire sequence is captured on CCTV. However, he loses control and his bike ends up crashing.

Thankfully, he fell off the bike on the side of the road itself. His bike went on to fall off the side of the road into a small gorge. He is able to survive this accident with relatively minor injuries. The condition of his bike is also not too horrific. Somehow, no one was hurt in this process. Note that the video shows that he was so close to a car. It is entirely possible that he could have impacted the car too. That is why such stunts are so dangerous. You could even end up affecting other road users for no fault of theirs.
The incident occurred in close proximity to Kancheepuram. According to reports, the Baluchetty Chatram police have taken legal action against Vasan following their investigation. Vasan has been charged under section 279 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for reckless driving on a public road and under section 337 for causing injuries through an action that endangers the lives or safety of others. This isn’t the initial instance where TTF Vasan has faced legal scrutiny. Prior to this accident, the rider had a history of traffic violations and had incurred multiple fines.

What We Think
We strongly condemn such idiotic acts, particularly by famous YouTubers who have a massive following. People often imitate their favourite celebrities. Hence, they have an extra responsibility to make sure that they don’t put out such content which could create a nuisance on the roads. We already lose lakhs of lives on public roads each year. It is high time we start becoming responsible drivers and following all traffic regulations to ensure maximum safety. Moreover, you must report such miscreants to the authorities who are trying to flout traffic rules. In this way, appropriate action can be taken against them.
