All the Yamaha scooters have now been updated with Unified Braking System (UBS), which is their name for the Combi Braking System (CBS).
Yamaha India has updated its entire range of scooters with CBS, ahead of the upcoming safety regulations. The regulations are set to kick in post April 2019.
Along with this, Yamaha scooters now get maintenance-free batteries from 2019. The updated scooters are available in the market for sale with revised prices.
Yamaha scooter lineup includes Ray ZR Street Rally, Fascino, Ray ZR, Alpha and Ray-Z. The pricing starts off at Rs 51,417 going up to Rs 58,698 (ex-showroom).

All the Yamaha scooters get the same engine setup. They use a 113cc air-cooled engine delivering 7.1 BHP and 8.1 Nm of peak torque.
Yamaha scooters get a fuel tank capacity of 5.2 Litres. With a claimed mileage of 60 kmpl, the riding range of these scooters goes up to 300 kms on full tank.

Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally comes with a front disc as standard fitment and Ray ZR and Alpha get one as an optional fitment. Fascino and Ray Z are only available in drum brake options.
All the scooters get halogen headlamps as standard and USB charging port as a paid accessory. Ray ZR Street Rally and Alpha get digital speedometers, whilst other ones use an analogue meter.
Fascino is the best selling Yamaha scooters, followed by Ray and Alpha. The brand’s scooter business is doing well, with two of its scooters making it to top 10 selling scooters for the month.

Yamaha plans to bring the NMax 150 scooter in India as well. It is speculated to launch in 2019 itself to rival against the likes of Aprilia SR150 and Vespa 150cc scooters as well.
