Apart from the Ray concept a number of other scooters were also there and all of them are targeted at Women. As far as the design is concerned, very evidently the scooter has the Yamaha Global DNA and that is why the looks are so impressive.
The Black and Dark Pink combination is quite attractive to look at and even the exhaust, shock absorbers, wheels etc. have been painted black, bringing out the flamboyance in it. There are no hydraulic shock absorbers at the back and disc brakes are also absent.
The scooter is expected to compete with the much successful Honda Activa and Suzuki Access and therefore a 125 CC – 150 CC engine is expected to be equipped by the same. Since it is a prototype a lot of convenience features are absent but we are sure the production model will bring along the lacking features.
