A couple of dealerships have introduced three new colours on the Yamaha MT-15. Originally, it is available in Matte Blue and Matte Black colour options.
Yamaha MT-15 is the manufacturer’s latest entry-level naked street motorcycle for India. Priced at Rs 1.36 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), it goes against TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and KTM Duke 125.
Some photos of the MT-15 in new colour options has come up. The bike is now available in Red-White, White-Black and Gloss Blue-Black options. Sadly, it is not an official thing and is offered only by some dealerships.
As of now, the prices for new colour options are same. The new colours are offered primarily because of the good response from the bike in just a couple of months.

Yamaha MT-15 uses a 155cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine, that delivers 19.1 BHP at 10,000 RPM and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8,500 RPM. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
For the past two months, the sales figures of MT-15 have been good. On an average, Yamaha has sold more than 4,000 units of the bike. It was launched back in March 2019.
To encourage further sales, Yamaha is now offering a free riding jacket or a helmet on the purchase of MT-15. This campaign will remain active for a limited period of time.

Yamaha MT-15 has one major let-down – a single-ABS unit. R15 V3 is available with a dual-ABS unit, which is a lot better. Suspension is handled by telescopic forks at the front and a swingarm monoshock at the back.
Features onboard include LED headlamps, a single step up seat, no grab rails, a fully digital Negative instrument console and a single-piece handlebar, which is slightly low positioned.
Basically, MT-15 is a city street bike, which doubles as a commuter and a highway mile-muncher. However, it would not be able to reach the benchmark created by the fully-faired R15 V3.
