Yamaha has issued a voluntary recall for the FZ-S V3 FI and FZ V3 FI, manufactured after October 1 2019.
Around 7,757 units of the new Yamaha FZ-S V3 FI and FZ V3 FI have been voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer. The issue is related to the absence of rear side reflectors on the affected models.
Units of the Yamaha FZ-S V3 and FZ V3 manufacturer from October 2019 have been recalled. The manufacturer will start notifying the owners about it, through the dealerships from where they purchased. The issue will be resolved free of cost, as it comes under the safety norms.
The affected units include some BS-4 and BS-6 models as well. Yamaha launched the BS-6 FZ-S V3 and FZ V3 in India in the first week of November. Both the motorcycles now get fuel injection as standard, thus resulting in a price hike.

The BS-6 versions use the same 149cc air-cooled engine, that now produces 12.4 BHP and 13.6 Nm of peak torque. The power figure has been reduced but the torque is slightly better now. The engine comes with fuel injection as standard.
With BS-6 engines and the addition of FI, the mileage of FZ-S and FZ V3 has been increased by 10-15%. The mileage estimated now is nearly 52 kmpl, making it the most fuel-efficient in its segment.
