- Some Indian aftermarket car modification houses have taken things to the next level.
- This is one such case where the car shop specializes in making Rat Rod Willys Jeeps and other such SUVs.
- Some of these Jeeps have the engine of a Toyota while others carry the engine of a Bolero.
Here is a brilliantly modified Rat Rod Willys Jeep. Rat Rod represents those cars from decades ago that were made out of used materials to keep the costs down. However, over the years, it has emerged as a category in itself where people create such cars from waste material and put them together to develop customized products. JS Motor in Mandi Dabwali, Haryana is a prominent player in this space. Here are the details of their latest product that will be exported to the US.

The video has been uploaded by Dayakaran Vlogs on YouTube. The YouTuber interviews the owner of JS Motor who is responsible for creating these attractive Willys Jeep. All the cars that they have designed are parked side-by-side. The Rat Rod version of the Willys Jeep that interests us is finished in a lime paint shade. The front tyres are so wide out of the body that one needs to drive carefully. Also, all these modified Jeeps are illegal in India. That is the reason why most of these are being imported to the USA where car modification, to some extent is legal.

The owner mentions that most of these parts are borrowed from Mahindra Bolero and Toyota Innova. The engine is also the 3C engine from Toyota which is a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 79-105 hp and 147-225 Nm of peak power and torque depending on which generation model of the engine it is.

At the rear, the seats are removed and seating is created along with a covered woofer and speakers. There are LED headlamps at the front and a modified windshield glass that can be removed. The engine can be accessed from both sides of the bonnet. There is no tailgate-mounted spare tyre and the rear section is quite plain and simple. It took them around 4 months to develop this and costs around Rs 7 lakh. What are your thoughts on this?
