Willys Jeep EV
This post comes from anilkumar432678 on Instagram. It captures a rather unique visual. There is a Willys Jeep which looks restored. Despite being decades old, someone has gone to great lengths to keep it in a running condition. That is not all that common. Only true automobile enthusiasts work hard to keep their cars in top condition despite their age. As per the information in this video, this is actually an electric version of the regular Willys Jeep. The owner has installed an electric motor and battery along with the entire setup to allow a range of 100 km. The cost of this conversion is Rs 1.20 lakh.

This is yet another example of how talented and capable the aftermarket car modification houses are. They are able to install electric motor setup on any car. There are aftermarket EV configurations which are available for just about any car. If there is a professional and experienced mechanic, it is not too hard to install. In fact, this trend is quite common in the two-wheeler segment. Bike and scooter owners easily get the electric motor and battery installed to reduce their running costs substantially. This Willys Jeep is yet another example of that.

What We Think
We are impressed by the way the electrification of this Jeep has occurred. We must credit the car shop for this professional arrangement. However, we would like to caution our readers about such aftermarket car modifications. Essentially, all customizations are illegal in our country. Hence, these must be done only as passion projects. You might not be allowed to ply on the road with a vehicle like this. Either you must be living in a far-flung area away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. Or there are some modifications that are valid. You must consult your local RTO about these. They will green-light it and you can get it written on the registration certificate.
