The launch of the new-gen Honda Amaze is just one day away and we are beginning to encounter it in dealer stockyards
The 2024 new-generation Honda Amaze has started to hit the showrooms. Note that the official launch is tomorrow, i.e., December 4, 2024. Amaze had been due for a thorough update for a while now. Its rivals in this segment include the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor. The Dzire recently received a new-gen model. It is also the highest-selling sedan in the country ever. Clearly, the Amaze has its work cut out if it wants to grab any share of this space. As a consequence, the Japanese car marque has refreshed the Amaze with a new-gen model.
New-Generation Honda Amaze in White Colour
A new video capturing the 2025 Honda Amaze in white colour has surfaced online. It is parked in an isolated location. In any case, the white colour looks decent. Furthermore, the exterior elements are also highlighted in this clip. For instance, the LED headlamps with a slight black backdrop, the chrome slab between the lights, the LED DRLs above the headlights which double up as turn indicators, etc., complement the colour really well. In fact, the City-inspired LED taillamps contrast the white colour too. Apart from that, the black side pillars and alloy wheels on the new Amaze ooze a fresh appearance.
We are also able to glance at inside the cabin. The layout has been revised by Honda. Firstly, it gets a chunky and round steering wheel with multimedia controls. The dashboard contains a dual-tone layout with the top section made up of black, while the lower half uses a beige theme. What grabs the attention is the free-standing 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display at the centre below which we see rectangular AC vents. To make things interesting, there are distinct elements on the dashboard. All in all, this is a definite deviation from the outgoing model.
Specs
While almost everything has changed on the outside and inside, what will most likely remain the same is what lies beneath the skin. I expect the new-generation Honda Amaze to carry a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol mill which produces a healthy 90 PS and 110 Nm of peak power and torque. Performing transmission duties is either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. At present, the prices range from Rs 7.29 lakh to Rs 10.05 lakh, ex-showroom. The new-gen version will certainly bear a premium over these. Let us wait one more day to know all the details.
