Real-World Mileage Tata Punch
The YouTuber starts by taking the Punch to the petrol pump. He fills the tank up to the third auto cut to ensure consistent and accurate results. Then he starts driving his Punch in and around the Gurgaon area. On his way, he comes across multiple driving conditions which could be considered a mix of city and highway. There were some parts of the journey with traffic and some others with bad roads. On the other hand, there were also some empty stretches on the highway. All in all, it was a perfect mix of roads conditions that one would encounter on a daily basis in real-world driving scenarios. The total distance covered was around 85 km with an average speed of 49 km/h. The instrument cluster of the car showed a mileage of 21 km/l.

But there is a more efficient way of calculating the real mileage for any car. This method is called the tank-to-tank method. The owner went to another petrol pump after the journey. He again filled the tank upto the third auto-cut point. The petrol that was filled was 3.52-litres. When you divide the 85 km by 3.52-litres, you get the real-world mileage of about 23.9 km/l. This is the real mileage and is quite impressive. The Tata Punch ranges from Rs 5.49 lakh to Rs 9.39 lakh, ex-showroom. The rivals list of the Punch is quite varied as well. It will fetch customers from across various segments. The products include the likes of Renault Kwid, Maruti Ignis, Hyundai Santro, etc.
