Engine-Swapped VW Polo
The video has been uploaded by B CHOWW on YouTube. He is in the N1 Racing workshop in Mumbai. It is a professional company that deals with engine swaps and bespoke builds. In fact, they are a part of an official rally. This is a testament to the credibility of these experts. The YouTuber gives the viewers a tour of the kind of cars being modified in the workshop ranging from the Skoda Laura, VW Vento, Honda Jazz and more. This Polo has been fitted with an R kit including things like tweaked headlamps, large brake calipers, new alloys and tyres, a roof-mounted spoiler, a dual exhaust setup, etc. However, the biggest change is under the hood.

They have installed a 2.0-litre TDI turbo diesel engine that produces 193 hp and 467 of peak power and torque. To keep the fuel consumption and emissions low, the engine has been de-tuned to output 185 hp. This engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission (DQ 250) allowing sporty driving dynamics. The YouTuber takes it on the highway and the acceleration is insane and effortless. Moreover, the steering has been borrowed from VW Jetta and has paddle shifters for better control during spirited driving. It is certainly one of the most powerful Polos ever created in the aftermarket.

We are thoroughly enjoying the kind of work that has been done on this Polo. In fact, we are always sceptical about aftermarket modifications since most people are not qualified enough for such extreme engine swaps. As a result, they end up doing a useless job resulting in long-term issues with the car. But this is different. This company is an established name in the industry. Hence, they take care of all the details when it comes to new engines, gearboxes, engine mapping, aerodynamic components, etc. Therefore, this is one customized vehicle that we actually love.
