Volvo is all set to launch the limited unit of XC90 Excellence Lounge Console in India on September 3. The SUV will be available in limited numbers only and the highlight of the SUV is it carries a 3-seat layout.
Yes, unlike the four seat layout found in the regular trim, it will come with just 3 seats. The front passenger seat is replaced with a powered rising leg rest and a fold away 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with lockable storage compartments.
Volvo calls it as a ‘limited edition work of art’ as the XC90 Excellence Lounge Console is available in limited numbers only.

The Volvo XC90 Lounge Console is based on the Excellence trim which is found in India. Under the hood, it gets the same T8, 2.0-litre petrol engine that is both turbocharged and super charged.
The engine gets paired with an electric motor which produces a combined power of 401 bhp and 640 Nm of peak torque. Transmission option includes an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Some key features of the SUV include a 13-inch tablet along with electrically adjustable and reclined seats. The rear seats also provide a massage function and the heating/cooling functions can be controlled via pop up touchscreen unit which exists between the seats.

The SUV will also get champagne flute holders and crystal glasses. It also gets an in-car refrigerator which is provided in between the seats and tray tables that pop out from the central armrest.
Given the price range of normal Volvo XC90 Excellence Edition, that is Rs 1.31 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Lounge Console is expected to carry a price tag near to Rs 1.40 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi).
