- Volvo is known for being a brand that focuses a lot on safety.
- However, the dealerships could be not so supportive at times for the customers.
- This looks like one such case where the owner had to suffer the consequences of that.
In this latest news, a Volvo XC60 owner shares his terrible experience with the dealership. Volvo is a brand people opt for when they are looking to own the safest car in any given segment. The Swedish brand has had the image of manufacturing safe cars since time immemorial when it refused to patent the seatbelt technology back in the day. They offered it to all free of cost. In India, it rivals German luxury carmakers in most segments. However, this latest case brings to light a horrific service experience.

Volvo XC60 Owner Shares His Experience with Dealership
This video has been shared by Nikhil Rana on his YouTube channel. He showcases his interaction in the telephone conversation with the owner of the XC60. The owner mentions that he bought the car in 2020 and experienced a tyre burst in the first few months of usage. But that can happen in any car. But after some time, the car suddenly stopped on a highway without any warning sign. This shocked the owner who had to call the RSA to tow the vehicle away to the service centre. It was found out that there was some issue with the fuel injectors.

The dealership asked him to claim insurance at first. But then, they slapped him with a bill of Rs 1 lakh. This is despite the vehicle being under warranty. After the discussion, they decided to offer a discount of 50% on this and the owner paid the amount. However, the same issue occurred yet again just a few months after the first incident and he was stuck on the road in a shady neighbourhood. The car was again taken to the service centre by RSA.

After evaluating the issue, it was again found out that the other fuel injectors had issues. This was a bit surprising as the service centre again prepared a bill of Rs 1 lakh. However, this time the owner refused to pay. It is simply unthinkable to have such issues in a relatively new car. On top of that, the service centre personnel were not acknowledging the warranty and were demanding money for repairs. Finally, the owner decided to file a lawsuit as the dealership asked him to pay Rs 500 per day as parking charges. Let us hope that Volvo looks into the matter and resolves it as quickly as possible.
