Volvo is offering a flat discount of Rs 3 lakh on the showroom price of the XC40 along with free accessories worth up to Rs 1 lakh. It is now thus priced at Rs 36.90 lakh but its a limited period offer only.

Volvo has introduced what they call the ‘Hassle-Free Offer’ on the XC40 that not only reduces the ex-showroom price of the car, but customers can also enjoy complimentary accessories and benefits worth Rs 4 lakh on the purchase of a Volvo XC40 T4 R-Design.
The ‘Hassle-Free Offer’ essentially gives you a flat Rs 3 lakh discount on the showroom price of the SUV while you also get complimentary accessories worth Rs 1 lakh. The BS6 Volvo XC40 was launched in the country for a price of Rs 39.90 lakh in a single R-Design trim, but now, with this offer, the Volvo XC40 is priced at only Rs 36.90 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). This offer however will be valid only for a limited period of time.
Under the hood, the Volvo XC40 is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 190hp and 300Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and power is sent only to the front wheels. Previously, the XC40 was solely offered with a 2.0L diesel engine that even came with all-wheel drive but it has now been discontinued as the XC40 switched to being a petrol-only model.

The XC40 is available in India in the single fully-loaded R-Design trim and it comes with plenty of fancy features to keep you engaged. The equipment list includes a 9.0-inch portrait-oriented infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone auto climate control, panoramic sunroof, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, wireless charging, hands-free parking, diamond-cut alloy wheels and a powered tailgate come as standard.

In India, the Volvo XC40 rivals the likes of the BMW X1, the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Audi Q3 and the Mini Countryman. The Audi Q3 is currently not sale in India until the new-gen model arrives and the BMW X1 is a little bit more pricier. The Mercedes GLA and Mini Countryman are a little bit more affordable but only in their base trim. The Volvo XV40 thus makes for a great deal if you are looking at the entry-level luxury SUV and its pretty well kitted with a powerful engine, so you shouldn’t be left wanting for anything.
