Desperate times call for desperate measures is what they say and that is exactly what happened in this case.
In continuation of this grand event from a few weeks ago, 3 Volvo FM trucks with 448 wheels in total are again seen carrying heavy equipment over a newly-constructed bridge. The incident is from Gujarat. We had earlier reported that the machinery was being taken to an oil refinery nearby. It was on the road for months and the destination was still a couple of months away. Talking to the chief operator who was in charge of transporting the component from its origin to the destination explained the details of this massive construction.

3 Volvo FM Trucks Pull Heavy Equipment Over Temporary Bridge
The video has been uploaded on YouTube by Bhadbhunja News. It captures this unique and impressive construction where 3 Volvo trucks are joined together, one after the other in order to pull this massive piece of the component via road. Because the weight of this component is well over what a regular bridge on the road would be able to tolerate, it had broken a few bridges on its way.

That is the reason why temporary bridges had to be constructed over small rivers and canals that could withstand the load and pressure exerted by this assembly. This bridge has been constructed over the Narmada Canal on the Tharad-Vav highway in just 10 days. The total cost of constructing this was a whopping Rs 4 Crore.
Damaged a Bridge in Earlier Part of Journey
Such measures had to be taken because these trucks had broken a bridge earlier. It happened when the entourage tried to move over a bridge that was not meant for such heavy machinery. The temporary construction is made up of a metallic structure that could be easily installed and dismantled.

Of late, we have seen numerous such transportation endeavours being undertaken for large industrial construction. These incidents show just how incredibly difficult it is to transport heavy machinery. What are your thoughts on this customized construction?
