Volvo S60 Polestar Launched in India!

Volvo has finally launched Polestar, its performance division, in India. With this, the Volvo S60 Polestar becomes the first product from the Swedish car maker’s performance car division to come to India. The new car has an introductory price of Rs 52.5 lakh, which makes it quite a good value-for-money proposition. In India, the Polestar brand locks horns with the AMG, M and RS cars from Mercedes, BMW and Audi respectively.

The new Volvo S60 Polestar features a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine that benefits from both turbo- and supercharging. It outputs a max. power of 362 HP and a peak torque of 470Nm. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed Automatic transmission. The latest from Volvo India can dismiss 100 KMPH from standstill in just 4.7 seconds and has an ‘electronically-nannied’ top speed of 250 KMPH!

The new Volvo S60 Polestar is on sale for an introductory price of Rs 52.50 lakh. It comes to us via CBU-route. However, we must add here that Volvo India has priced this car pretty aggressively in spite of the high duties levied on CBU-imports.

The S60 Polestar’s benefits from an 80% increased spring rate over the base car. Its stabilizers are 15% stiffer. It also gets uprated connecting points, mounts and bushings.
