Volkswagen is expecting an appreciable number of sales with the new sedan Volkswagen Vento, released in competition with the Honda City, Fiat Linea, Maruti Suzuki SX4 and a few other sedans already ruling the market. The car has got a great feedback from the critics and customers as well.
Currently the car comes with a 1.6 Litre MPFI Petrol and 1.6 Litre CRDI Diesel heart powerful and refined enough to compete with the above mentioned sedans. The price of the car starts from Rs. 6.99 Lakh and goes upto Rs. 9.53 Lakh, but the fact remains that it becomes a bit too pricy for someone who considers buying it.
The solution has arrived. VW is planning to launch a 1.4 Litre petrol engine variant of the Vento sedan so as to inject more competition into the market. The car is expected to be cost Rs.35,000 to Rs.65,000 less than what is being offered right now.

Although no information is available about the prices, yet the expected prices are as follows:
- 1.4 litre Petrol Trendline (Manual) – Rs. 6,30,000
- 1.4 litre Petrol Highline (Manual) – Rs. 7,60,000
