Volkswagen Tiguan vs Ford Endeavour Comparison Verdict
- Price: Prices of the VW Tiguan fall in the same price bracket as the Endeavour. This means that for almost the same price, it offesr a smaller cabin and lesser street presence. In its defence, however, the Tiguan offers a world-class engine and transmission combo and the proverbial ‘German build quality’.
- Specifications: The Endeavour comes with bigger engines. However, thanks to a lower kerb weigt and the DSG automatic transmission, the performance difference between the two models here should be negligible.
- Mileage: The Tiguan has a clear advantage here.
- Dimensions: The Ford Endeavour is much larger.
- Design: While the Endeavour looks really butch and enjoys a high road presence, the Volkswagen Tiguan, with its crossover-ish look, has a sporty edge to it.
VERDICT: We have always maintained that the two models here aren’t direct rivals. On the contrary, they are poles apart in most areas. While the Tiguan won’t be seen lagging behind in areas such as performance and cabin comfort, the Endeavour offers much more interior space and more seats. The VW SUV also offers more mileage than the Endy. However, the Endeavour is very good even off the road and we are yet to test drive the Tiguan off the beaten tarmac. Both the models here offer a long list of features. In terms of pricing, these two cost almost the same amount of money, tipping the scales in the much larger Ford Endeavour. However, it’s for sure that Tiguan is a good alternative for those who don’t require their SUVs to be really large on the outside and are fine with having just 5 seats.
