How to Get Best Deal on New Car?
This video comes from Daksh Agnihotri on YouTube. He is with his friend and they both bring a rather interesting way to negotiate for any car. In this case, they went for the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios base model. The ex-showroom price of the car is Rs 5.92 lakh. Knowing this, they went to multiple dealerships to get the final quotations for the on-road price. First, they got a deal of Rs 6.27 lakh. This was after the discounts and accessories along with a mild negotiation. They then took this quotation from one dealer to the other. Initially, they asked the dealer to prepare the final quotation. Then they showed this number from the other dealer.

As a result, the salesperson had to consider this and bring down his quote. In fact, the vlogger even mentioned that he was already getting a deal at this price but he wanted to ensure if any other dealer can better it. Consequently, the second dealer offers the final price of Rs 6.15 lakh including Rs 5,000 worth of accessories. They booked the car at this dealer. Now, taking this booking confirmation, they approached a third dealer and asked for a better deal. He offered the final price of Rs 6.10 lakh on-road. Meanwhile, the second dealer came down to Rs 6.03 lakh with Rs 5,000 additional accessories. That is how these vloggers were able to squeeze the best deal for themselves. Note that all these prices were for the 2024 model.

Now while not everyone might be capable of negotiating so hard, it certainly gives you a perspective on how one can end up saving a lot of money simply by visiting multiple dealers before purchasing a car. It also shows that the dealers have a lot of wiggle room which might not be so apparent in the first time interaction and quotation. Hence, you must always ask for the best discounts on the dealer’s end. If you can consult many dealers, that is the best approach to leverage one’s price to get a better deal elsewhere.
