Ampere sub-brand of Greaves Electric Mobility is the official EV partner of Royal Challengers Bangalore which is why its electric scooter was offered to Virat Kohli as Player of the Match.
Virat Kohli has received the Ampere Primus special edition as the Player of the Match award. IPL season is going on and the country is immersed in cricketing fever. That has attracted many large and local sponsors one of which is the Bangalore-based Greaves Electric Mobility. Ampere is its subsidiary that manufactures electric scooters. Here are the details.

The post was shared by Greaves Electric Mobility on its social media handles. It reads, “Performance meets Performance. #HarGullyElectric meets #HarGulleCricket. Excited to announce King Kohli as the first Ampere Electrifying Player of the Match. Ampere
There are three models on offer from Ampere – Zeal EX, Magnus EX and Primus. However, the one Virat got was specifically customized with the RCB theme making it unique. It has a dual-tone matter finish, reverse mode, decent legroom, LCD smart digital cluster, 22-litre storage space, Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging port, navigation assist, hydraulic telescopic front suspension, side stand sensor, LED headlamp and more.

Ampere Primus comes with a 3 kWh Lithium Ferro Phosphate battery that powers a mid-mount PMS electric motor to produce 4 kW of peak power allowing a 0-40 km/h sprint in just 4.2 secs. The top speed is rated at 77 km/h and the ARAI-rated range is 107 km on a single charge. There are drive modes, fast charging (optional), alloy wheels, 130 kg (kerb weight), 3-year/30,000 km motor, battery and vehicle warranty. It has a retail price of Rs 1.10 lakh, ex-showroom.
