18 People Inside Mahindra Scorpio
An X user shared this incredulous post. The man starts recording the video and asks the people inside the old Scorpio to come out one by one. He then counts the total number of people. As the footage starts rolling, 18 people come out. That is as shocking as it gets. We have seen many occasions where people stuff multiple persons inside a car much beyond the capacity of the car. This mostly happens in rural and sub-urban parts of the country due to lack of adequate checks by the police. But to accommodate 18 passengers in a Scorpio is taking things to a new level altogether. We can only hope that the person is not driving with these many people.

We reckon that this is just for social media engagement to garner views. We can only hope that people don’t use this configuration to actually drive on the road. The obvious issue could be a suspension failure and mad load on the tyres, engine and transmission. Cars are not designed to exceed the payload so much. We understand that at times, one or two extra people need to be accommodated for short-distance travel. But to have 18 people in a car is simply absurd. Let us ensure that we don’t ever do this and take this as a source of entertainment and not inspiration.
