Popular journalist Vir Sanghvi seems disappointed with Jeep Compass. He claims that his car broke down three times in one year.

Jeep is one of the best SUV manufacturers globally. In India, it has been successful as well. Several models by Jeep India (an Indian subsidiary of the American brand) are quite popular in the country. However, it has been facing regular criticism for questionable service. In recent years, Jeep Compass has been at the top of the company’s lineup. The mid-size SUV comes with an affordable price tag and stylish looks. However, many customer complaints have raised questions over its reliability. Now, Vir Sanghvi has joined the list.

Vir Singh Rants On Jeep Compass on Twitter
Recently, Vir Sanghvi took to Twitter to complain about his personal Jeep Compass. Apparently, the famous journalist has had a terrible experience for over a year period. “Over a year ago, we bought a Jeep. It stopped starting within a few months. They ‘fixed it.’ It stopped working again yesterday. They ‘fixed’ it again. It broke down again 30 minutes ago. All the people I dealt with last year have left @JeepIndia. Is it also breaking down?” he tweeted. This post received support from many other users as well.

According to Mr. Sanghvi, his Jeep Compass went through three breakdowns. Naturally, he is quite frustrated with the service offered by Jeep India. Unfortunately, this is not the first time a Jeep user has complained about the reliability of the Jeep Compass and the company’s service. While the exact problem with Mr Sanghvi’s Jeep Compass is not clear, many customers shared that they have faced similar issues of SUV breakdowns.

Another Owner Faces Issues
Recently, a Jeep Compass owner shared that his top-end Trailhawk variant was experiencing some rattling issues. The expensive SUV broke down after just 18,000 km while the steering and brakes became locked. He narrowly missed hitting a kid on a bicycle. Manish Kumar Singh purchased the car in November 2019. It stopped in December 2020, with only 7,000 km on the odometer. Along with other problems, the car broke down four more times. However, the company reportedly did not respond to his complaints.

Another Jeep Compass owner claims in a Facebook post that his car started experiencing rattling issues within one of getting delivery. The sounds were coming from the pillar adjacent to the dashboard of the SUV. He added that the car is lying idle in the Jeep India’s authorized workshop for almost two weeks since the technicians were unable to find the root cause of the problem. As the car sits in the service center, the owner is left without a car to commute.
