Digital automobile artists often demonstrate their skill to transform any vehicle into just about anything they wish
The latest post showcases a VinFast-inspired Maruti Jimny Electric. Note that VinFast is a Vietnamese carmaker that will enter India with its two electric SUVs – VF7 and VF9. In fact, they have announced their participation in the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Clearly, the Indian EV market is bound to get heated in the EV space and this year’s auto expo will majorly focus on EVs from established, as well as new-age carmakers. On the other hand, Jimny is one lightweight off-roading SUV which doesn’t need any introduction. It has been among the most successful vehicles across the globe for decades. Let us see what comes out of a mashup between these two.
VinFast-inspired Maruti Jimny Electric
We are able to experience this unique combination courtesy of malvinwsetiawan on Instagram. Going by the description of this post, it is clear that the artist has taken inspiration from the VF3 to create this Jimny Electric. At the front, we see the compact bonnet with a rugged grille and Suzuki lettering on it. Apart from that, we see the round LED DRLs surrounding the main headlamp cluster with traditional round turn indicators on the sides. Down below, the bumper certainly looks butch and imposing.
In fact, the bumper elevates the road presence of the SUV significantly. This includes fog lamps on the edges, a skid plate in the middle and two sturdy tow hooks in the middle. The side profile indicates the short dimensions of the SUV. This includes rugged wheel arches with matte black claddings, massive all wheels painted in grey colour with off-roading tyres, black roof and windows and a 3-door layout. Look closely and you will also spot the shark fin antenna at the rear. All in all, this has to be among the most compelling mashups between Jimny and VF3.
My View
I appreciate the automobile artists who have this knack for creating enticing iterations of prominent cars. This latest VinFast-inspired Maruti Jimny Electric is a great example of that. This gives the viewers an opportunity to experience regular cars in a different light altogether. I don’t suppose we will see an electric Jimny in real life any time soon. Still, to witness it in the virtual realm is quite exciting. On the other hand, we will see VinFast enter our market in the coming days. Let us see how well the customers embrace this new carmaker.
