There are plenty of instances on roads where heavy vehicles are involved in crashes due to brake failure or other reasons as shown in this video.
In this video, CCTV footage shows why even the 5-Star NCAP rated cars are not safe on our roads. NCAP testing is done to test the build quality of cars so that during a mishap, the passengers can be safe. However, it is not meant to test the capabilities of cars in extreme cases. Hence, it could be concluded that after a point of time, the safety rating of your car won’t be able to save you if the impact is so high. This is a prime example of such an instance.

It hits the SUV from behind with such force that the SUV is driven along with the truck several metres on the road. In fact, there are still no signs of the truck driver applying brakes. While the exact reason is still unknown, it looks like a classic case of brake failure. Alternatively, it is possible that the driver could’ve slept. In any case, the impact was horrendous which led to the demise of one passenger in the SUV.

It is evident that the entire tail section of the SUV is destroyed beyond recognition. An investigation is underway to determine the real cause of this bone-chilling crash. Although we can’t do anything in such unfortunate situations, we can only advise our readers to always be careful while on the road. In the cases where you see a speeding vehicle, make sure to stay out of its way since there are chances that the driver will not be able to stop the car even if he/she sees you if the brakes are not working. Stay safe and follow traffic rules.
