The 2022 TVS Apache RTR 160 and RTR 180 have been updated with new body graphics, new headlamps, and riding modes.
TVS Motor Company has announced an updated Apache RTR 160 2V and 180 2V in the Indian market. The price starts at Rs. 1.17 lakhs (ex-showroom). The updated bikes are said to come with better engine output, reduced weight, and more features. The company has also added new LED headlamps, new LED tail lamps and new graphics for both bikes. The Updated 2022 TVS Apache RTR 160 2V is powered by a 159.7cc air-cooled engine that produces 16.04 PS of peak power and 13.85 Nm of max torque. It comes in five colour options – black, white, red, blue and grey. The new TVS RTR 160 Drum variant comes with a starting price of Rs 1,17,790 (ex-showroom Delhi). While the Disc models costs Rs 1,21,290 (ex-showroom Delhi), the 160 Disc Bluetooth variant comes at Rs 1,24,590 (ex-showroom Delhi).

On the other hand, the Updated 2022 TVS Apache RTR 180 is powered by a 177.4cc oil-cooled engine that outputs 17.02 PS of peak power and 15.5 Nm of max torque. It is available in black and white colour options only. The new TVS Apache RTR 180 Disc is priced at Rs 1,30,590 (ex-showroom Delhi). It comes equipped with Bluetooth. Just like the Updated TVS Apache RTR 160, it also comes with 5-speed manual transmission.

Design and Features
In terms of design, the new motorcycles get new elements and new graphics for both bikes. While the new headlamp has an LED function, the tail lamp comes with a signature 3D element that offers uniform illumination. While the RTR 160 is 2 kg lighter than the previous versions, the RTR 180 is 1 kg lighter. The company has added with wider 120 mm rear tyre, an X-ring chain, and a gear position indicator. Overall, the new bikes feature a refreshed vibe with sharper LED Daytime Running Lights (eyebrow-shaped) and a black windscreen.
The updated motorcycles come in three riding modes – Rain, Urban and Street. These can be activated via the Mode button on the right-hand side switchgear below the kill switch. Additional features include a new TVS Connect app UI and a fully digital instrument cluster. You also get SmartXonnect connectivity with Bluetooth and a voice assist feature. It shows turn-by-turn navigation, race telemetry, call and SMS notification, gear position indicator, gear shift assist, lap timer mode, crash alert system, and cluster intensity control.
