Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is quickly becoming a positive trend for most new models and upgrades. This change is being pushed by increased awareness about ADAS safety features among Indian customers. The new technology is no longer limited to the top-end cars. Now, multiple brands are offering ADAs as a highlight in the new SUVs and MPVs. In this article, let’s take a look at the upcoming facelift models that will be launched with the ADAS technology – From 2023 Tata Nexon to 2023 Kia Seltos.

2023 Tata Nexon
The 2023 Tata Nexon is expected to be launched in August this year. It will be the company’s third model to get ADAS functionality. Previously, the company added the safety feature to the Harrier and Safari XZA+ (O) trim. This includes features like lane change assist, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, forward collision alert, and autonomous emergency braking.
The updated Nexon will come with several changes on the outside and inside. It is expected to be powered by a 1.2L turbo petrol engine that offers 125bhp of power and 225Nm of torque. The company might also offer a 1.5L diesel engine option. Additionally, the subcompact SUV will come with a new purple seat upholstery, paddle shifters, a digital driver display, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity.

Hyundai Creta Facelift
The Hyundai Creta SUV is getting a mid-life update in India. It is expected to be launched in early 2024. The Hyundai Creta Facelift will also get the ADAS tech. It will add features like adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor, lane keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking with forward collision avoidance. The upcoming car will also come with a 360-degree camera. The updated BlueLink-connected car tech will come with features like stolen vehicle tracking, stolen vehicle immobilization, and a valet parking mode. The upcoming car will borrow design elements from the new-generation Verna. It will be powered by three engine options – a 1.5L turbo petrol, a 1.5L petrol, and a 1.5L diesel motor.

2023 Kia Seltos
The new Kia Seltos update is expected to be launched in mid-2023 (in July or August). It is getting a big design update with a new grille, new taillamps, newly-designed alloy wheels, redesigned tailgate with a bigger licence plate, and revised headlamps with LED DRLs. The upcoming SUV has been spotted with a panoramic sunroof dual 10.25-inch displays (instrument cluster + infotainment system), and a rotary drive selector (automatic variant). It will be powered by 1.5L petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines. The company might also replace the 1.4L turbo petrol engine (140bhp) with the 1.5L diesel motor (160bhp). Additionally, the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will come with the latest ADAS features.

Kia Carens Facelift
Kia Carens is also getting a new facelift in September 2023. It will get ADAS features like blind spot collision avoidance assist, forward collision avoidance system, lane following assist high beam assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. The upcoming MPV will be powered by 1.5L turbo petrol (160bhp) and diesel engines (115bhp) options. It is also expected to come with an updated instrument cluster, a new infotainment system, and a panoramic sunroof. However, minimal changes are expected inside.
