Nissan Magnite Facelift
Nissan should expedite the release of the facelifted version of the Magnite. Since its debut in 2020, the Magnite has maintained the same appearance. In an effort to keep the model current, the Japanese automaker recently introduced the AMT version with a non-turbo engine, focusing on improving convenience for buyers. Nissan has consistently introduced minor updates to keep the car in the spotlight amid increasing competition. The next significant step could involve unveiling an official mid-life facelift, potentially incorporating modern features such as wireless smartphone charging, a larger infotainment display, and more. This strategic move aims to position the Magnite competitively against segment leaders like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, and Hyundai Venue. No changes are expected in the powertrain options.

Nissan Leaf
The Nissan Leaf stands as one of the leading electric vehicles globally, having entered production in 2010 and continuing to perform well in various regions. Given its success elsewhere, it’s plausible to anticipate its availability in India. The model offers a choice between a 40-kWh or a 62-kWh battery pack. The smaller unit produces 147 hp with a range of 240 km, while the larger battery pack yields 214 hp and extends the range to 364 km. Charging these batteries to full capacity takes around 7 hours with the 240 V charging equipment and 18 hours with the regular power adaptor. Priced at Rs 59.99 lakh in Nepal, equivalent to Rs 37.45 lakh INR, the Nissan Leaf, if introduced in India, would position itself above the Nexon, ZS EV, and Kona Electric in our market.

Looking at the global lineup, Nissan has the Qashqai which fits the description of being a C-SUV in India. It could be a perfect rival to the mega-popular Hyundai Creta in our market.
