Upcoming New Hero Bikes In India

Hero MotoCorp is among the most-known bike makers in India. Its Splendour motorcycle is one of the most-sold motorcycle in the world. However, Hero is known for a lot of other things too. Be it its partnership with Honda (and annulment of the same) or with Erik Buell Racing (that didn’t end well), the company has been in news for one reason or the other. News aside, Hero’s current state is not great. Most of its products’ origins can be traced back to the Hero-Honda times. Hence, it has to work on some new models. Today, we bring you list of all the upcoming new Hero bikes in India. These will help you get a peek into what Hero has in store for you.

Hero HX250R

The HX250R seems like a replacement for the Karizma. However, what can be said for sure is that it will be an all-new model from Hero. With an engine displacing 249cc, this bike’s power and torque outputs will likely be close to 23BHP and 20Nm, respectively. From the image (of the concept) above, we can deduce that this bike will likely have disc brakes at both ends. Also, it will have a telescopic fork up front but a monoshock at the back. The windshield of the bike is upright, suggesting that it will be a sport-tourer and not a sportbike.

Hero Hastur

If you take a look at the Hastur concept, you may consider it to be a part of Yamaha’s MT family of motorcycles. That topic aside, this bike will likely be the biggest bike from Hero’s stable upon launch. A 620cc parallel-twin engine is likely to power this bike. In the image above, you can see dual disc brakes and a single unit on the back of the bike. Expect to find it on the production bike too. There is also an upside down fork and a monoshock rear suspension. Expect the production bike to sport these items too. Among all these upcoming new Hero bikes, this will likely be the most important one. Why? This will allow Hero to showcase its technological prowess to the world.

Hero Xtreme 200S

Hero will likely bring a bigger, badder Xtreme to the market before any other bike on this list of upcoming new Hero bikes in India. Why? This bike will be based on the Xtreme Sports, which is already on sale. However, while that bike has a 149.2cc engine, this bike will likely have a 199.3cc engine. It will likely output 20BHP power and 17Nm torque. A six-speed transmission on the bike is also likely. Expect the Xtreme 200S to have ABS as optional equipment.

Hero ZIR 150

Fancy yourself a big scooter? The ZIR 150 will likely be coming to India post-Auto Expo 2018. This scooter will have a 157cc engine that makes 14BHP power and 12.7Nm torque. However, unlike other scooters, its engine will have liquid-cooling and fuel injection too. The ZIR 150 will have a 9-litre fuel tank, making it suitable for long rides than scooters currently on sale in India. This scooter will have a top speed of 100 KMPH. Expect to see it in India around April 2018.

Hero Leap Hybrid

The Leap scooter from Hero will be a hybrid product (the above image is of the concept). It will likely come with an 8kW PMAC motor with a 124cc petrol engine acting as range-extender. Expect the scooter to have a small (probably 3-litre) fuel tank to power the petrol engine. From the image above, we can see that it will have a disc brake up front. We can also spot the telescopic fork up front in the image and the scooter will likely have it too. Hero had showcased this scooter at 2012 Auto Expo. Today, it can make this a real product than letting it stay as a concept.

Hero XF3R

Easily among the most interesting of all upcoming new Hero bikes in India is the XF3R. Hero first showcased this bike at the Auto Expo 2016. The XF3R can be one of the premium offerings from the Indian bike maker. Our guess? A 300cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine making 33BHP power and 25Nm torque.

Hero Impulse 200cc

Hero tried to do something radical with the introduction of Impulse some years ago. However, the bike was not as well-received as Hero had hoped. Today, the market is more than ready for such bikes, which is why this is perhaps the most-awaited of all the upcoming new Hero bikes. We think Hero will likely bring this to the market by Seeptember 2018. Expect the engine to be the same as the Xtreme 200S, which is a 200cc, fuel-injected, single cylinder unit making 18.6 PS and 17.2 Nm.

Hero Dare

The Dare is a 125cc scooter that will rival the Activa 125 upon launch. Hero will likely aim to market the scooter both to male and female population as a unisex product. The scooter will likely sport a 124.6cc carbureted single-cylinder engine that makes 9.38BHP power and 9.8Nm torque. With an automatic gearbox onboard, expect this scooter to deliver a mileage of 50kmpl. AMong the features of the scooter will be LED headlamp, fully-digital speedo console, front disc brake, telescopic front suspension and a mobile phone charging socket.
