This upcoming Maruti car could be one of the most important of all upcoming cars under 10 lakhs. The new Maruti small car will likely acquire the spot between the Alto and Celerio. It will be a Renault Kwid competitor. This means it will have an SUV-like stance and high ground clearance. For this purpose, this car is expected to borrow design cues from the Suzuki Crosshiker concept.

Next-Gen Maruti Alto

The new Maruti Wagon R will have an all-new exterior and interior design. Its engine specifications will remain the same as before. Top-spec version can get features like projector headlamps, automatic climate control and touchscreen infotainment system. The hatchback will have dual-airbags and ABS as standard across the range.
All-new Hyundai Santro

The Wagon R 7-Seater will have the same exterior and interior design as the next-generation WagonR. The production of this budget MPV is speculated to start by the end of this year. Expect it to launch in India during the first quarter of 2019. It will get a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine as standard. AMT variant is on the cards as well.

In order to further bump up the sales of the Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki is soon going to introduce petrol variant in the sub-compact SUV’s model line-up. Going by the recent media reports, we believe that this Brezza petrol will launch in India this year itself. It could either get Baleno RS’s 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine, or the Ciaz’s 1.4-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor. In addition to this, the SUV will also get a new AMT variant added to its line-up as well.

The Ciaz facelift is likely to be a subtle one. This is because the current car still looks as good as it did when it was all-new in the market. The engines will remain the same but are likely to be tweaked for slightly more power and torque.
Kia Ceed

The Ceed is a large premium hatchback from Kia Motors. It is likely that Kia will bring this car to India upon its debut in the country. Toyota Rush

This car is on sale in Indonesia and Malaysia with a 1.5-litre petrol engine. Toyota is likely to throw in a 1.4-litre turbo diesel engine in the car and may then bring it to India.
Mahindra TUV500

All-new Tata Safari
