TATA TIGOR [KITE 5] INDIA LAUNCH
Much like its predecessor, the Tata Indica, the Kite hatchback will also spawn a compact sedan. The Tiago sedan has been christened as Tigor. Front-end styling and interiors will be similar to the Kite hatchback whereas the rear features a very notchback shape. The Tata Tiago sedan should have an aggressive price tag. The Tiago sedan could be a well-rounded car.

TATA TIAGO SPORT LAUNCH
Tata could launch the new Tiago Sport by the end of this year. The Tiago Sport will be launched instead of the Bolt Sport. Powering the Tiago Sport will be a turbo’ed 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with around 120 PS. Styling changes will include a body kit, sportier alloy wheels and a larger end-can. The car could be lowered with a stiffened suspension.

TATA NEXON COMPACT SUV INDIA LAUNCH
Tata is busy readying the Nexon compact SUV for its market launch. The Indian car market has warmly welcomed the new range of Tata products. Their high levels of quality and equipment have been subject to high appreciation. And this compact SUV is likely to follow in the footsteps of the Tiago and the Zest and get eye-catching styling and decent levels of equipment.

NEW HYUNDAI VERNA 2017 INDIA LAUNCH
The all new Hyundai Verna made its public debut recently. Subsequently, it’s expected to be launched here by mid 2017. The new Hyundai Verna 2017 has an even sharper design. It is also expected to bring in many more features. Engines are likely to be carried over from the current model.

HONDA WR-V (JAZZ BASED SUV)

AUDI Q2 INDIA LAUNCH
Audi is expected to launch its Q2 in India by mid-2017. The Audi Q2 price in India could start at just Rs 23.00 Lakh. This will make the Q2 the cheapest Audi SUV in India. Engine options will include 1.4 Litre Turbo petrol and 2.0 Litre Turbo Diesel.

RENAULT KAPTUR SMALL SUV INDIA LAUNCH
Renault is readying a small SUV that will slot in above the Duster and take the fight to the immensely popular Hyundai Creta. On sale in the Russian market, the Kaptur is more premium offering than the Duster and is slightly bigger in terms of dimensions as well. This new compact SUV share a fair bit with the Duster. The Captur competes with the Ford Ecosport in Europe and has managed to outsell the later comprehensively.

CHEVROLET BEAT ACTIV INDIA LAUNCH
Showcased at the Auto Expo in February, Chevrolet will launch a crossover variant of the upcoming 2017 Beat under the Beat Activ moniker. Unlike other international markets, India will not get the latest generation of the Spark/Beat. Instead, GM will launch a heavily reworked version of the current car and will be offered in hatchback, crossover as well as compact sedan form.

CHEVROLET ESSENTIA
The 2017 Chevrolet Beat will come in three body styles – Hatchback, crossover and compact sedan. The compact sedan was also on display at the Auto Expo in February 2016 and is called ‘Essentia’. It will be cheaper than the current set of compact sedans on sale in India. Launch is likely to take place in early 2017.

2017 TOYOTA COROLLA ALTIS
Next year Toyota will launch the Corolla Altis facelift in India. The upcoming new model Corolla will feature new exteriors and interiors. Toyota has not made any announcements yet, but the car is already on sale in international markets. The update will be merely cosmetic as the engine options will remain the same.

Honda will, hopefully, address the issues of poor fuel economy and lack of a diesel motor that led to the company pulling the plug on the Civic in India a few years back.

SKODA OCTAVIA FACELIFT
Recently, Skoda took the wraps off the 2017 Octavia. The sedan features tweaks to the exteriors. The most noticeable difference between the current model and the upcoming new model is the quad-headlamp setup up front. Apart from that, its tail lamps get new LED detailing, new touchscreen and tweaks to the instrument console.

SKODA KODIAQ
Skoda will bring the new 2017 Kodiaq 7 seater SUV to India next year. It will be priced in the Rs. 25 to 30 lakh bracket. Engine options will include a 1.4 L TSI Petrol and a 2.0 L TDI Diesel along with an optional all wheel drive system. Skoda will launch the Kodiaq in India in the second half of 2017.

VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN
Volkswagen will launch its first SUV in India since the now defunct Touareg early next year. The Tiguan, which was on display at the Auto Expo, will come to India at a starting price of roughly Rs. 30 lakhs. It will employ a 2.0 L TDI Diesel engine that makes 190 PS and 400 Nm. A 7-speed DSG Automatic gearbox will be standard. It will rival the likes of the Hyundai Santa Fe and the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq and Nissan X-Trail SUVs.

2017 MARUTI SWIFT
The Maruti Swift is about to enter the next generation. The 2017 Maruti Swift will be launched in early 2018 and will completely replace the current model. The next generation Swift is expected to be lighter and more feature-laden than the current model. Engines for the India-spec model could be carried over from the current model. However, the lighter platform guarantees higher performance, higher fuel mileage and higher crash protection. And oh, it looks really good too!

2017 MARUTI S-CROSS
Even the slow-selling Maruti S-Cross is about to get a makeover. From the looks of it, Suzuki has already readied the facelift for the S-Cross and our guess is that the updated model will make its debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. Of course, the Maruti S Cross facelift is headed our way and it could be here by October-November, 2017. The S Cross facelift gets a more premium front-end along with possibly a host of new features. Also, it is expected to get a new Petrol engine.

MAHINDRA TUV500
Mahindra seems to be working on a larger version of the TUV300 that will feature 3 rows of seats. Rumoured to be called ‘TUV500’, the SUV will rival the likes of Honda BR-V and will be positioned between the TUV300 and Scorpio. It could most of its bits with the TUV300 including the mHawk100 engine, features and interior design.

CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER FACELIFT
Although the Chevrolet Trailblazer is not even a year old in the India market, GM is already planning to introduce a facelift. The new 2017 model Chevrolet Trailblazer features a new front fascia with sleeker headlamps and revised front bumper. The dashboard design is new and so is the instrument console setup. Prices could witness a small hike. Expect the Trailblazer facelift to come to India by mid 2017.

ISUZU MU-X
Isuzu will launch a replacement for the ageing MU-7 in India in early 2017. The upcoming MU-X will rival the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Chevrolet Trailblazer. We expect prices to start at around INR 23 lakhs for the base trim. Isuzu MU-X India launch could take place by mid 2017. It is closely related to the Trailblazer as it uses the same platform.

According to some reports, Maruti will manufacture the next generation Jimny in India and could launch it India as the new Gypsy. If launched, the Jimny will become the only true-blue SUV in the sub-4 metre space. Launch will take place only in 2018.

NEW 2017 NISSAN MICRA

The Ignis was launched on January 13, 2017. It competes with the likes of the Mahindra KUV100, Hyundai Grand i10 and Ford Figo. Powering the Ignis is a 1.2 L petrol and 1.3 L diesel engine. NEW HYUNDAI TUCSON INDIA
Hyundai India showcased the new gen Tuscon at the Auto Expo 2016. The manufacturer then brought the Tucson moniker back to our car market on November 14, 2016 and the new model rivals the likes of Honda CR-V. The new Tuscon has been positioned between the Santa Fe and the Creta small SUV.

2016 TOYOTA FORTUNER INDIA
Toyota launched the latest generation of its popular Fortuner SUV in November, 2016. The new Fortuner used to be among the most highly awaited of all upcoming cars in India 2016. The Fortuner is based on an all-new platform that is lighter and more spacious. It also features a much more aggressive exterior. It gets automatic and manual transmission options and an AWD system as well.

NEW HONDA ACCORD INDIA LAUNCH
The Honda Accord was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and made a comeback to the Indian in October 2016r. It comes with a 2.4-litre petrol hybrid and will fight head-on with the Toyota Camry. Honda has brought the Accord to India as a CBU resulting in a steep ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs. 37 lakh.

VOLKSWAGEN AMEO DIESEL
Volkswagen India launched the Ameo in June 2016. Diesel model of the Ameo was launched a couple of months later. The Ameo Diesel comes with an updated version of VW’s 1.5-litre TDI. This engine now churns out 108 bhp and 250 Nm. While the petrol Ameo is not available with an automatic transmission option, diesel ameo gets 7-speed DSG automatic variants.

NEW HONDA BRIO FACELIFT INDIA
Honda hasn’t yet given up on the Brio. The cutesy li’l car has gotten a facelift in India. The Honda Brio facelift borrows its nose from the Amaze facelift and also the interiors. The new Brio facelift gets enhanced looks and a few new features. The updated has a starting price of INR 4.69 lakhs. Honda is also manufacturing the South Africa-spec Brio facelift in India. The 1.2-litre iVTEC Petrol engine remains unchanged.

FIAT AVVENTURA URBAN CROSS
Fiat has launched yet another iteration of the Punto hatchback in India called the Avventura Urban Cross. Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, the Urban Cross is essentially an Avventura sans the tail gate mounted spare wheel and other modifications. It shares its engines with the Avventura. Petrol models get the 140 PS version of the 1.4 L unit that also powers the Avventura by Abarth and Abarth Punto.

TOYOTA ETIOS LIVA 2016 FACELIFT

TOYOTA PLATINUM ETIOS 2016 FACELIFT
The Etios has got another facelift. The new Toyota Platinum Etios gets a new nose and revised interior. It also boasts higher refinement. The new Platinum Etios is aimed at the private car buying lot.

MAHINDRA BOLERO POWER PLUS
The rumoured mini Mahindra Bolero has been launched as the Bolero Power Plus. The Bolero Power+ gets new bumpers to duck under the 4-metre limit. It also gets a new front fascia. The new Bolero Power+ is as spacious as the regular Bolero. The Bolero Power Plus gets a new 1.5-litre Diesel engine. It offers a mileage of 16.5 KMPL.

JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE INDIA LAUNCH
Fiat-Chrysler’s Jeep has just been launched in India. One of the first Jeep models to go on sale in India is the Grand Cherokee. The Grand Cherokee comes with a 241 BHP 3.0-litre Diesel motor mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Features list include- Panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated seats, sat-nav, parking sensors, reversing camera, an electric tailgate, bi-xenon adaptive headlamps and 20-inch chrome alloy wheels.

DATSUN REDI GO INDIA
The rather invincible Maruti Alto 800 has got yet another rival in the form of the new Datsun Redi Go. Launch at a starting price of INR 2.39 Lakhs, the Redi Go offers unbeatable value for money. Its crossover-ish looks combined with a fuel efficient engine might be enough to leave a sizable dent on the Alto’s sales performance. The Redi Go shares both its platform and engine with the Kwid but is priced even lower than its Renault-badged sibling. The Redi Go seems to be one really promising car.
VOLKSWAGEN AMEO PETROL
Volkswagen launched the new Ameo compact sedan in July 2016. Positioned between the Polo and the Vento, the Ameo rivals the likes of Maruti Dzire, Ford Aspire, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest. The Ameo is also the cheapest sedan in VW India’s product portfolio. It boasts several segment first features including rain sensing wipers and cruise control. Prices start at Rs. 5.31 lakhs.

HONDA BR-V INDIA
Honda ditched its plans to launch the HR-V in India after a study revealed that it would turn out to be too expensive for the market and is, instead, gave us an all new product based on the Brio‘s platform. The small SUV competes with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti S-Cross and Renault Duster and other such vehicles which. Engine and transmission options are shared with the Mobilio, as well as some components to reduce costs.

TOYOTA INNOVA CRYSTA INDIA

Bigger and more premium than the current car, the 2016 Innova was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo recently. The car gets edgier styling and will target premium mid-size sedans instead of entry level MPVs such as the Eritga, Mobilio, Lodgy, etc.
