The festive season is starting and the strategy to launch cars before the season is not a new trend which car manufacturers follow. Here, we have combined you a list of all the upcoming cars which will launch in the month of August. Let’s have a look!
2020 Hyundai Grand i10 (Launch Date: August 20, 2019)
Launched back in 2013, the car is still in its first-gen avatar. It has received a mild facelift with updated features and design but now is the time to bring a second-gen Grand i10. The new version will carry the fluidic design which gives a wider grille upfront, agile headlights and new taillights design and fresh alloy wheel design.
The interiors of the Grand i10 will see a new dashboard design and is expected to see new connectivity feature, BlueLink Technology which debuted with the Venue. The Grand i10 will get the same 1.2-litre VTVT petrol engine and a 1.2-litre CRDi turbocharged diesel engine. Transmission options include 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed torque converter unit.

Maruti XL6 (Launch Date: August 21, 2019)
It is basically the premium version of Ertiga which will be sold via Nexa dealerships. The MPV is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom) and will get a 1.5L petrol engine. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed torque converter unit.
The major changes are the availability of an all-black cabin and the car sees a 6-seat configuration. The front fascia of the cars receive redesigned headlamps with LED DRLs integrated inside them. The MPV sits on 15-inch black alloy wheels and gets plastic cladding runs through all over the body.
2019 BMW 3 Series (Launch Date: August 21, 2019)
BMW group recently launched the 7 series sedan and the new X7 SUV making it them both their flagship vehicles in India. The entry-level 3 Series sits on CLAR (cluster architecture) platform which not only makes the car lighter than the ongoing car but it will be bigger in dimensions and a lot safer.

The 3-series will carry the same 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine producing 190 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. The 2.0-litre petrol engine generates 250 bhp with 350 Nm torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox remains the same for both the cars.
Kia Seltos (Launch Date: August 22, 2019)
The upcoming mid-size SUV will compete with the likes of Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Mahindra XUV500, Nissan Kicks, Renault Kicks and entry-level trims of Jeep Compass. Feature-wise it gets Blind Spot Monitor and Heads up display which is a segment-first.
The engine options include two petrol and one diesel motor. The diesel churns out 115 bhp with 250 Nm of torque and gets paired with 6-speed AT. The 1.5L petrol motor makes 115 bhp and 144 Nm torque. The 1.4L turbo petrol makes 142 bhp with 242 Nm of torque.
Renault Triber (Launch Date: Late August)
The 7-seater car from Renault will compete with the likes of Datsun GO+ technically. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol motor which churns out 72 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque. Transmission onboard includes a 5-speed manual gearbox along with a 5-speed AMT.
