The Maruti Grand Vitara is available in two engine options – a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder mild hybrid or a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder strong hybrid with an AC synchronous electric motor and a Lithium-ion battery pack. The power and torque outputs are 103 hp / 136 Nm and 116 hp / 141 Nm, respectively. The former is also on offer with an all-wheel-drive configuration ideal for moderate off-roading excursions. Also, it can be paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the strong hybrid uses an e-CVT automatic transmission. The CNG mill is good for 87 hp and 121 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. The prices range from Rs 11.19 lakh to Rs 20.09 lakh, ex-showroom.
