Jeep Compass is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 160 hp and 250 Nm and a 2.0-litre diesel engine that makes 168 hp and 350 Nm of peak power and torque. Both these engines give the choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. Unsurprisingly, only the diesel variant is offered with a 4×4 drivetrain allowing the SUV to traverse across some off-roading tracks quite comfortably. Its prices range from Rs 21.09 lakh to Rs 31.29 lakh, ex-showroom.
