Chinese replicas of expensive cars have been gaining popularity among automobile content creators for a few years now
In this post, we acquaint ourselves with the Chinese replica of the Rolls Royce Cullinan. We know that China is home to many local manufacturers who design fake copies of globally renowned luxury cars. Oftentimes, these are used by local people as affordable city cars. Apart from that, many companies simply use it to attract new buyers to purchase their other models. In any case, some YouTubers love to import it to their parts of the world to create content for their subscribers. Here is one such case.
Chinese Replica of Rolls Royce Cullinan
We get these visuals courtesy of Supercar Blondie on YouTube. This is one of the biggest automobile YouTube channels in the world with over 21 million subscribers. On this occasion, the host unboxes the fake Rolls Royce Cullinan. At the front, we see an impressively similar design language to the regular Cullinan. However, the miniature dimensions give away its true identity quickly. Still, the front fascia is quite accurate. On the sides, we witness the suicide doors and alloy wheels, although the overall length of the car is much smaller. Unfortunately, the tail section is nowhere close to a Rolls Royce Cullinan at all.
On the inside, the beige theme certainly lends it some amount of premium vibe. There are steering-mounted controls, an automatic gearbox with a decent gear lever, circular air con vents, display screens, and a modern-looking centre console. Moving to the rear compartment highlights the dodgy and flimsy build quality, as the seats are unstable. After the host reviews it, he calls Supercar Blondie with a blindfold to get her impressions as well. While she was impressed with the initial touch and feel, the final outcome revealed the low-quality materials. Note that it costs $9,000 (approx Rs 7.5 lakh), while the real one retails for $450,000 (approx Rs 5 Crore in the US and Rs 10 Crore in India).
Driving Impressions
Towards the latter half of the video, they take the two cars on a racing track with obstacles placed on the road. In the replica, the driver feels all the jerks inside the cabin. In fact, it is quite unforgiving for his back. However, when he drives the real Rolls Royce Cullinan, everything is a breath of fresh air. Finally, they took both cars to a fancy hotel with valet parking. Overall, the valet was a bit confused initially, but soon realised that it was not a real Rolls. In any case, the entire experience was great for entertainment purposes.
