UM Renegade Duty S And Duty Ace debut at ongoing Auto Expo 2018. Go on sale for Rs 1.10 lakh
UM India has introduced two new versions in the Renegade range, the Renegade Duty S and Renegade Duty Ace. Both motorcycles are available on sale with a starting price of Rs 1.10 lakh, ex-showroom at all authorized dealers. The new UM Renegade Duty S and Duty Ace have been developed keeping in focus that these products can be ridden on and off the road. The Renegade Duty S and Duty Ace are powered by the same 223 cc single cylinder oil cooled engine that powers other motorcycles in the Renegade range. The engine generates 17PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 17Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.
The upcoming UM Renegade Duty 230 is more of a city-friendly product. The seating position for the rider will be upright with relaxed arms and legs. The split seats compliment the upright position. The Duty 230 stretches 1,975mm long, 730mm wide and 1,050mm in height. The seat height is impressively low at 756mm. The Duty 230 features alloy wheels on each end. The bike features a single pod instrument cluster which is likely to have a digital screen to indicate fuel level.
UM Renegade Duty S and Duty Ace Images
Both variants of the Renegade are offered with 17-inch alloy wheels at the front and 15-inch alloy wheels as standard. The feature list isn’t extensive, but the models do get a digital speedometer with a gear indicator and other necessary details require by the rider. Considering the price tag of Rs 1.10 lakh, the Renegade Duty S and the Renegade Duty Ace should be a value-for-money purchase. While the Duty S has a kerb weight of 142 kg, the Duty Ace is lighter by two kgs. Ground clearance of both models is same at 180mm and so are the dimensions.Stopping power comes from a 280 mm disc brake up front and a 130 mm drum at the rear.
