UM-Lohia is planning to launch a new premium scooter in India.
Currently, there are only two 150cc scooters in India – Aprila and Vespa. 150cc scooters offer much more power but very less mileage figures.
UM-Lohia Motors, the brand who retails Renegade cruisers, is planning to make an appearance in this segment. Some leaked photos from its recent dealer meet, show its upcoming products for the Indian market.
Based on the spy shots, new UM Chill 150 scooter is under development. The photos from the presentation show its features and colours. We are trying to get the specifications, but the image is too blurry.

UM Chill 150 will be a modern-retro scooter, with the latest features but retro styling. The launch plans are for August 2019. UM plans to make it a mass-produced product, because of lesser products in 150cc scooter segment.
The specifications of the 150cc scooter are unknown at this time. However, we expect a 150cc air-cooled engine, which will be BS-6 compliant.
Feature highlights of UM Chill 150 include huge headlamps, fully digital instrument cluster and reportedly, dual disc brakes. Also, to adhere to the upcoming safety norms, this scooter will come with a single-channel ABS.
UM Chill 150 will come in 4 colour options – White, Blue, Red and Black. Along with the desired colour, the scooter will get lots of chrome inserts over the body.

Suspension setup might include telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock absorbers at the back. A 12-inch wheel at the front and 10-inch wheel at the back might come with it.
Reports suggest that UM Chill 150 will come with two storage compartments, one under the seat and one on the front apron.
The price expectations of the same are around Rs 90,000. We expect it to undercut the prices of Vespa scooters, some of which cross Rs 1 Lakh.
UM-Lohia plans to pit it against Aprilia SR 150 and primarily against Vespa 150 scooters. Vespa SXL 150, VXL 150 and Elegante 150 are the three 150cc scooters. All the three are retro-styled with modern fits and finishes.
