This includes things like new front and rear bumpers which are compact, enhancing the approach and departure angles, upsized rims with broader tyres to accentuate the off-roading prowess of the vehicle, a new front grille which has a wider area for more air intake to enhance the performance, flared wheel arches to offer an imposing road presence and much more. There are some mechanical changes like a special suspension too. The interiors have been modified slightly to make everything more comfortable including a handy handrest.

Suzuki has not upgraded the exterior or the engine of the Jimny for a long time now. As a result, it comes powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates somewhere around 103 hp and 137 Nm of peak power and torque. There are options of choosing between either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Being the hardcore off-roader, it comes with a dedicated 4 x 4 drivetrain with appropriate hardware. That ensures that it is able to conquer any off-tarmac situations.

As mentioned previously, the Suzuki Jimny has a legacy of over five decades in the international market. There have hardly been any cases of issues with the ownership even for a long duration of usage and offer me. The owner also mentions that he has been going on desert safaris in his Jimny for a long time now. But he has not had any real issues with the car. That is a testament to the quality the SUV possesses. Although mechanical issues can crop up at any time, largely, one can expect a decent ownership experience for long periods of use.
