TVS Zeppelin Inches Closer to Production?
The TVS Zeppelin concept bike was originally showcased at Auto Expo 2018 with a metallic look. It features a stylish fuel tank, sweptback handlebars, and USD forks. The spoke wheels were paired with disc brakes. Recently, the brand applied for a new design trademark. The leaked images show similar design features to the Zeppelin concept which hints at an imminent launch. However, the company has not confirmed a launch date as yet.
In 2020, TVS acquired Norton Motorcycles by paying INR 153 crores. Last year, it also announced an investment of 100 million Euros (over INR1,000 crores) in the Norton Motorcycles brand. The British brand is likely to help the TVS design new-generation cruiser bikes like Zeppelin. It will also offer its engines to TVS bikes. Additionally, TVS plans to launch new electric bikes including a naked streetfighter version of the Apache RR310.

Specs and Features
The upcoming cruiser bike will get the same platform and muscular design as the TVS Ronin. It will sport a circular headlight, curvy fuel tank, USD front forks, and a single exhaust pipe. For comfort, it will feature forward-oriented footpegs, a swept-back wide handlebar, and twin-shock absorbers on the back. The upcoming bike is expected to be powered by a bigger wide-body engine, quite likely a 650 – 700cc parallel-twin-cylinder engine. For comparison, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is powered by a 648cc parallel-twin engine that outputs 47ps of power and 53nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-Speed Transmission.
