In shocking news, a truck overturns on a Hyundai Creta but the occupant escapes unhurt. Creta has received 3 stars in the Global NCAP safety rating and is the best-selling mid-size SUV in the country. In fact, it has stayed at the top for a long time now. Its modern looks, feature-laden cabin, multiple powertrain options and dense Hyundai dealership and service network are some of the reasons why people buy it left and right. However, if the NCAP ratings are anything to go by, it is not the safest car in the segment. Still, it managed to save a man in a recent horrific crash. Here are the details.

Truck Overturns on Hyundai Creta
The video has been uploaded by Nikhil Rana on YouTube. This channel keeps featuring content around unfortunate accidents and road safety. This time around, a case has been reported from Solan bypass, Himachal Pradesh. As per the information in the video, an overspeeding truck was negotiating a sharp curve when it lost control. The Creta was approaching from the opposite side. Unfortunately, the truck ended up landing on the SUV. Needless to say, the visuals highlight a horrendous scenario.

Miraculously, the driver was rescued after being stuck inside the SUV for around 3 hours. That is simply unbelievable. The locals rushed to the scene and a crane was called to lift off the large truck. The driver of the Creta was stuck in the mangled remains of his car but he didn’t get hurt. He waited for a long time to get the truck lifted off the SUV. In fact, the video captures the man being taken out of the Creta. Clearly, the SUV kept its sole occupant safe in spite of being crushed by a truck. The mishap was definitely a test of the SUV’s structural strength and even though it is damaged beyond repair, the driver is unhurt.

Thousands of lives are lost in road crashes each year in our country. Most of these take place due to overspeeding and disregarding safety protocols. Overspeeding caused this truck driver to lose control of the truck as well. Hence, we recommend our readers to prevent overspeeding at all costs.
