Mahindra Marazzo is the safest MPV of India securing a 4-star safety rating in the global NCAP crash tests. Very few accidents of it have been reported till now and here is one such example. This one happen amidst the lockdown on the empty roads of Thane, Maharashtra. So, definitely, speeding of either the victim or the guilty has to be the reason.
This accident happened on a flyover and both the cars involved were in opposite direction. The truck seems to be speeding as it lost control and went over the divider on the wrong lane. Unfortunately, this Mahindra Marazzo came in front and was immediately pushed to the wall. Another truck was damaged in this accident.

Luckily, Marazzo only had the driver inside who escaped without any injuries. The MPV has been severely damaged from the side. Both the door panels, roof line and the side fenders have received irreparable damages. However, despite the pillars and panels receiving a heavy damage, any damage has not reached inside the cabin.
You can see the seats seem to be unaffected and so does the steering wheel. The rocker panels have absorbed all the impact of keeping the driver safe. Instead, you can see the condition of the truck and it looks more damaged. The trucker has been hospitalized and once is better, he will be charged with the necessary violations.
Almost a year ago, there was another such major accident of the Marazzo. It was travelling at a very high speed and had an accident after midnight, on a national highway. All 7 people onboard were killed due to the impact of it hitting a tree. The accident was reported to happen at a speed of 130-140 km/hr and turns out most of the passengers were not wearing a seat belt.
