With the Speed Twin, Triumph Scrambler 1200 might also be launched. It has already been listed on the company’s Indian website.
Triumph India is launching the new Speed Twin in India on 24th April. Ahead of the launch, we expect the manufacturer to also bring the Scrambler 1200 to India on the same day.
A look on the Triumph India website will show you that the Triumph Scrambler 1200 is ‘Coming Soon’. It is basically an off-road friendly version of the Speed Twin, which is a modern classic roadster.
As of now, the Triumph has the Street Scrambler in India, which uses a smaller 900cc engine.

Triumph Scrambler 1200 uses a liquid-cooled 8-valve SOHC parallel-twin 1200cc engine. The motor is able to deliver 89 BHP at 7400 RPM and 110 Nm at 3950 RPM. The bike comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
In the global markets, it is available in XC and XE variants. The base-variant XC is expected to make it to the Indian shores. The other variant might or might not come here.
Unlike the suave alloy wheels on the Speed Twin, the Scrambler uses cross-adjusted spoked wheels. It is better for off-roading and can especially allow the use of tubeless tires.
