You would encounter incredible scenes from Indian roads and this bicycle from an RE Bullet is a prime example of that. Indian roads can throw anything at you. We see hundreds of thousands of Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles on our roads. It is the most successful tourer bike in the country for a few decades now. However, we have not seen someone riding it on the roads without an engine. Let us take a look at the details of this latest case.

Bicycle From RE Bullet
This video comes from Punjab Nation T.V on Facebook. It captures a rather unique visual. A man is riding on what looks like a regular Bullet. However, the traffic cops stop him. As he parks his motorcycle on the side of the road, things become clear. You would be shocked to see that there is no engine on this bike. In fact, there are pedals installed to move it around. Essentially, he has taken the engine out and made a bicycle out of it. The entire body remains that of the stock motorcycle. Now, that is something we don’t see all that often.

On talking about how other people react, he says that mostly, they feel proud that he has created something good for health. The pollution due to this motorcycle is zero. He has to pedal it everywhere. This ensures that the person riding it remains in top physical shape. Finally, he also mentions that this motorcycle/bicycle can go upto 30 km/h. What We Think
We must admit that this is quite a clever invention. We are not sure if everyone would want to spend lakhs of rupees first to buy a Bullet only to convert it into a bicycle. Still, if people could create such bicycles out of waste materials, it would be a great idea. It would solve the issue of local commute without impacting the environment negatively. India is truly the ‘jugaad’ capital of the world. For the uninitiated, the word refers to devising a solution with existing resources to a common problem. We hope to see more such creations more often.
