If launched in the Indian market then the compact SUV is likely to carry a Maruti Suzuki engine under the joint venture of Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. The design is similar to the Daihatsu Rocky
Earlier we gave a glimpse on the brochure of the Toyota Raize compact SUV and now new spy shots give us a glimpse of the interiors. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza rival will be unveiled on November 11 at the Tokyo Motor Show and is expected to come in Indian markets soon.
The interiors of the Toyota Raize give us the idea of a simplistic design approach by the Japanese manufacturer. If you remember the Daihatsu Rocky, the interiors of the Raize are similar except for the badging.
A closer look reveals the floating touchscreen infotainment system which is expected to carry connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, the multi-function steering wheel will give you the volume control, trip meter, cruise control and others.

The car also sees a digital instrument cluster, horizontally placed air con vents, silver inserts on the dashboard, automatic climate control, an all-black interior with red stitching on the upholstery. We also expect it to come with wireless charging as a feature.
Also, the safety features on the compact SUV are enough to give you the confidence to drive the car on the roads. Features like ABS with EBD, Automatic high beam, Park Assist, Blindspot mirror, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane departure warning, Collison warning and Brake control are some of it.
Mechanically, the compact SUV will get a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor which will churn out 97 bhp on tap with a peak torque of 140 Nm. It will get a CVT gearbox initially and we expect a 6-speed manual gearbox at a later stage. In India it could get a Maruti Suzuki engine, considering the joint venture between the two companies.

Talking about the design of the SUV then it will carry a minimalistic design approach which will get LED headlamp design with LED daytime running lights. The boot space is measured to be 369 litres. The SUV receives 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and will get blacked-out treatment on the roof and on the outside rearview mirrors.
As of now, the launch will take place in the global markets and if in case the SUV comes into the Indian market then it will compete against the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Breza, Mahindra XUV500, Ford Ecosport and Tata Nexon.
