Toyota Racing Development, the motorsports arm of Toyota has decided to make its way to India in mid of 2012. As per a report by BSMotoring, Toyota will sell one-make series to about 30 customers or teams who are willing to take part in the one-make car series in India. The venue of these events have not been finalized as yet, but it is expected to take place at the Buddh International Circuit of Greater Noida where Indian F1 GP was hosted recently. Also there are some racing circuits at Coimbatore and Chennai Race tracks.

Toyota India will provide cars and engines for these racing events. TRD is working on getting the FIA approvals to hold this series in India. The cars will be customized by the racing teams for these racing events as per the pre-set guidelines and safety rulebook of the event.
