Toyota has commenced the deliveries of its Land Cruiser LC300 in India. Toyota was quoted saying last year that the response for the new LC300 was unprecedented and the waiting period was over 4 years. That pushed the deliveries back in a lot of markets including India. But finally, Toyota has made sure that Indian buyers don’t remain bereft of this iconic SUV in its latest avatar. Hence, the official deliveries have commenced. Here are the details.

Land Cruiser Deliveries Commence in India
This post on Facebook informs that the customers are getting their SUVs delivered to them after a long waiting time. The SUV is over 5 m long and 2 m wide which lends it an imposing road presence. That is the prime reason why people would opt for it. Moreover, the massive grille at the front is finished in chrome. Flanking the colossal chrome grille are sleek LED DRLs and LED headlamps with chrome garnished fog lamp housing at the lower end of the bumper with a rugged skid plate at the centre.

The side profile is dominated by the sheer size (length) of the SUV. The B and C pillars are black with a thick chrome frame surrounding the windows. There is an elegant and sleek side step to enhance the ingress and egress characteristics of the SUV. The mammoth alloy wheels add to the charm of the Land Cruiser, while the prominent wheel arches are almost square in design.

The LC300 comes powered by a 3.3-litre V6 turbo diesel engine that produces 305 hp and 700 Nm of peak power and torque. The ground clearance of this massive SUV is a great 230 mm which will help enable it to glide over over sort of terrain. The fuel tank on this is a colossal 110 litres. It is based on Toyota’s most advanced TNGA platform which is lightweight and agile. It will be priced at over Rs 2 Crore, ex-showroom rivalling the likes of the Mercedes GLS premium luxury SUV in our market.
