Hycross is the SUV iteration of the Toyota Innova which has done decently well on the sales charts in India
This Toyota Innova Hycross facelift has been illustrated by a prominent digital artist quite convincingly. Innova moniker is a household in our country. It has to be the most successful MPV in India. It finds buyers in the commercial, as well as private space. As a result, it has achieved incredible success. That is what led to the creation of Hycross. The Japanese auto giant wanted to leverage the demand associated with the Innova nameplate and capitalize on the growing SUV trend at the same time. For now, let us take a look at the details of this case.
Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift Imagined
This virtual rendition comes to us courtesy of malvinwsetiawan on Instagram. The artist has evidently taken inspiration from the existing Toyota Legender. At the front, we see the LED headlamp cluster from the Legender but it looks slightly beefed up for this version. Also, the sleek grille connecting the headlamps looks neat. Down below, there is a large radiator grille flanked by large fog lamp housings on either side. The lower section of the sporty bumper incorporates a rugged skid plate to enhance the adventurous aspect. Also, the horizontally mounted LED DRLs on the extreme edges of the bumper induce a modern vibe.
On the sides, we are greeted by a mix of silhouettes from the Legender and the Hycross. There are black side pillars with faux roof rails and shark creases on the door panels. Apart from that, the side profile is accentuated with the body cladding and elegant alloy wheels finished in gunmetal colour. I believe the rear section showcases the MPV-ish demeanour that we witness on the regular Hycross instead of an upright stance as in the Legender. In any case, this combination of the MPV and SUV traits is rather unique. All in all, I appreciate the imagination and creativity of the artist. Nevertheless, I don’t think that any of this will make it on the production-spec model.
My View
I like to explore new perspectives on ‘regular’ cars via the lens of talented digital artists. I understand that these are not meant for production. However, these are based on the imagination of the artists which are devoid of any physical limitations. Therefore, we are able to expand our horizons and experience a unique avatar of everyday cars. I will keep bringing more such enticing iterations of prominent vehicles in times to come.
