Toyota Innova, one of the most popular MPV has been sporting the same look for quite some time and there has been no major improvement done from the manufacturer’s end. The company recently came up with the 2012 Toyota Innova which it launched in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia and now the same is awaited in India.
In India there were no signs of the same until one of the fellow blogs was able to source a spy picture of the camouflaged Innova. The car was spotted in Bangalore and with no surprise a number of important changes were noticed.

The above picture is the only spy picture of the new car and it shows the rear only. This picture has been shared by IAB. Talking about the changes, the facelift model now gets a redesigned three part tail lamp unlike the current red & transparent one. The rear bumper has been tweaked at the bottom. Chrome inset above the number plate has been restyled.

The front is remarkably different from the ongoing one and now is more stylish. Some of the major changes include sharper and bigger headlamps, a more pronounced hood, redesigned bumper, ORVM turn indicators, new fog lamps housing and an all new chrome grille.

From the sides a little bit of flaring can be noticed which has been carried from the ongoing model. This kind of styling is unique as in most of the cars the flared wheel arches surround the wheel completely whereas a little bit of bulge featured here makes it appeal more.
On the interior as well a number of things have been changed in order to make it more competitive. Two major improvements on the inside are an all new steering wheel and an LCD display music system. Also the knobs for AC and other functions been replaced by buttons.

Technically nothing seems to be replacing the ongoing installations and the engine is expected to remain the same 2.5 Liter diesel motor coupled to a 5 speed manual transmission. Let us just wait for this new Innova to hit the Indian market and we are sure it will get a good response here.
