The overall projection of this Hyryder is quite sleek and modern. The design philosophy sits very much in line with the general design language of the Japanese carmaker. At the front, the narrow chrome belt running on the grille merges spotlessly into the LED DRLs placed on the bumper, the main headlights are positioned on the bumper signifying a modern design choice, there is a massive front grille atop the grey splitter/skid plate at the bottom. These elements give the front a sporty stance.
The Toyota Hyryder is the company’s first model that has been co-developed with Suzuki for the Indian market. It will use the modified/ localized version of Toyota’s TNGA-B (or DNGA) platform. The upcoming SUV is expected to be powered by a 1.5L petrol engine with mild (103PS) and strong (116PS) hybrid technology. The mild-hybrid version can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the Hyryder strong hybrid variant will come with an e-CVT gearbox.
