Toyota is planning to bring its Creta rival to the market soon and the interior of the mid-size SUV has been partially revealed in a teaser video.
The interior of the Toyota HyRyder mid-size SUV has been partially revealed via this teaser video. The Creta rival is set to make its debut in our market on July 1 and the Maruti’s version of the same will follow soon after. As with all Maruti-Toyota products, the underpinnings and powertrains of the SUVs will be identical albeit the exterior styling, this time around will be distinctive. Toyota will supply the platform and hybrid engine as opposed to Maruti supplying them in the case of Glanza and Urban Cruiser (from Baleno and Vitara Brezza respectively).

Toyota HyRyder Interior Revealed
The video commercial offers a generous glimpse into the cabin of the HyRyder. To begin with, the SUV will come with connected car technology with over 40 features, a grand centre console is visible in the visuals as well which has physical buttons for the automatic HVAC, a premium dashboard layout with a soft-touch leather panel along with metal inserts to give it a two-tone layered appearance, a 9-inch floating infotainment display, etc. This would be a departure from the old layout we have come to see from Toyota products in India.

Exterior
Toyota has also shared some snippets of the exterior styling. At the front, the grille is finished in black with a slim chrome belt engraved atop it, there are dual LED DRLs flanking the grille rendering a modern appearance to the SUV, the headlamps are placed on the sporty bumper and there is a silver skid plate at the front to lend it an upright stance. The side profile is dominated by stylish machined alloy wheels, a Hybrid badge on the fender, and square wheel arches with black cladding. At the rear, the LED taillamps are wraparound and are connected via a chrome strip in the middle.

Specs
The Toyota HyRyder and its Maruti version (YGF or Vitara) will come with 2 hybrid 1.5-litre petrol engines. There will be no diesel powertrain on offer. The exact details of the power and torque output of the engines are not available yet. But these engines will have a mild hybrid and a strong hybrid engine option. The latter might be capable of driving on complete electric power for small distances. There will be manual and automatic transmission options. The expected price range will be between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 18 lakh, ex-showroom.
