Toyota Hyryder is one of the most popular SUVs in the Indian market. It came in petrol and hybrid options. Now, the company has launched a CNG variant of the Urban Cruiser. The new Toyota Hyryder CNG comes in two trims. Both trims are paired with a manual transmission. The S trim comes with a starting price of Rs 13 lakhs. Toyota Hyryder CNG to Promote Sustainable Mobility
The new Toyota Hyryder is the second compact SUV in India to offer factory-fitted CNG. Previously, the Maruti Grand Vitara also came with a factory-fitted CNG unit. The Toyota Hyryder CNG variant is powered by a 1.5-liter K-series engine that offers a fuel economy of 26.6 km/kg. It is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It comes with 17-inch alloys, Cruise Control, and 6 airbags. Additional features include a 9-inch Smart Playcast Touchscreen Audio and Toyota’s i-Connect technology.
With the Hyryder CNG variant, Toyota aims to promote sustainable mobility solutions. It hoped to contribute to achieving a “Carbon Neutral Society”. With increasing fuel prices in recent years, CNG is a great option for many users. Many car owners have modified their cars from third-party agents. Recently, many brands have started offering factory-gitted CNG models. This includes Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. On the other hand, Tata and Mahindra are focusing on electric vehicles.

The bookings for the Toyota Hyryder CNG variant have already begun online. You can also book the new model at Toyota dealerships nationwide. It will compete with the Maruti Grand Vitara. Recently, Maruti and Toyota partnered to offer multiple vehicles in the Indian market. The standard Toyota Hyryder petrol model will go against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, and MG Astor.
